Community guidelines

How we keep the MRU Corridor community useful, safe and trustworthy.

These guidelines apply to posts, replies, messages, groups and events.

Our principles

  1. Be professional and respectful

Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, hate speech, threats or personal attacks.

  2. Share evidence, not rumours

Cite sources for figures on throughput, costs, investment or feasibility. Say clearly when something is an estimate or an opinion.

  3. Protect confidential and sovereign data

Do not post data-room material, personal data, unpublished government information or anything shared with you in confidence.

  4. Keep it relevant to the corridor

Posts should relate to development, trade, investment, logistics or communities along the MRU Corridor.

  5. No spam or scams

No unsolicited mass promotion, pyramid schemes, fake tenders or requests for payment outside the platform.

  6. Be transparent about who you are

Do not impersonate people or organisations. Declare conflicts of interest when promoting a project or service.

How moderation works

  • Any member can report a post or another member. Reports are private.
  • Posts reported as containing confidential data, or reported by three members, are hidden until a moderator reviews them.
  • Moderators can restore, hide, remove (archived with a reason) or warn. Every decision is logged and the author is told why.
  • Nothing is deleted silently. If you think a decision was wrong, reply to the moderation notice through Messages.

Your own controls

  • Mute a member to stop seeing their posts and notifications. They are not told.
  • Block a member so neither of you sees the other and they cannot message, reply to or follow you.
  • Manage the members you have muted or blocked in Community settings.

Language

Portuguese and English are both welcome. Posts are shown in the language they were written in. Official government content is authoritative in Portuguese.
